RKM TALKS – “Book Talk” Initiative

With the vision of encouraging students to learn beyond textbooks and develop the habit of reading, RKM Group of Institutions, Vijayapur has initiated “RKM TALKS”, an interactive student talk series inspired by the innovative academic culture of MIT Solapur.

As part of this initiative, the upcoming edition titled “Book Talk” will be conducted on the last Saturday of every month. In this program, students will be provided with selected books to read and reflect upon. Participants will then present their thoughts, insights, learnings, and interpretations before fellow students and faculty members.

The sessions will also include:

• Interactive group discussions
• Exchange of ideas and perspectives
• Critical thinking and analytical conversations
• Development of communication and presentation skills

This initiative aims to cultivate:

• Reading habits among students
• Independent thinking and creativity
• Confidence in public speaking
• Intellectual curiosity beyond the syllabus

“Book Talk” is envisioned as a vibrant platform where books become conversations, conversations become ideas, and ideas inspire leadership and lifelong learning.
